How To used VVDI Prog Program Benz Sprinter 2002-2005 Key

Here’s the guide to add immo key to Mercedes Benz Sprinter year 2002 to 2005 using Xhorse VVDI Prog and Tango transponder key programmer.

Step 1: Read data with VVDI Prog

GM Tech2 Scanner Technician Experience

Tech2 Scanner with TIS2000 for GM, is a very good tester used to diagnose GM vehicles. The Vetronix Tech 2 contains Authentic GM software and provides support for on-board diagnostics on all GM systems 1992 thru 2011. TIS2000 supports till 2007 year GM car programming,supports GM/SAAB/OPEL/SUZUKI/ISUZU/HOLDEN.

1) GM TECH2GM programming and C6 diagnosis
The GM Tech2 is still a stable workhorse of a scan tool for the GM stable. I still have an old Tech1a which I use on the older cars mainly before 2009 year. My Tech2 is the only scan tool that I use when tuning our cars. I prefer it over the scanner software that is included in the tuning software. For me it much easier than wrestling with a laptop when on the dyno and especially when driving on the street. GM MDI is the new standard, but it is only for a few cars (GM and Opel) at this time. One being the new gen Camaro. It is part of the new Global Diagnostics systems that GM is steering towards.

If you had a Tech2, you could possibly talk to the dealer and have them access their TIS system to load the BCM or PCM calibration to your Tech2. Some may do it.
If you can’t do that, just buy additional TIS2000 with USB key.

GM tech2 would NOT work with All C5’s, if you are going to use it on a C6, make SURE you have the CAN D modules.

2) GM Tech2 Scanner is too pricey for personal
Someone consider GM Tech2 is too pricey for personal, some simple cables may help, and then they searched kinds of elm327 USB.
Fobdii engineer options: problem is that solution like the scanners you can buy in the auto parts store is incomplete. All it lets you do is access OBDII codes which are about 55% of the codes that can occur on the car. The others 45% are where you have issues and where a lot of failures occur. If you do nothing to the ECM you can go for years and many thousands of miles without ever needing to read the OBDII codes.

3) GM TECH 2 can do-personal experience
Update I purchased the correct updated memory card off the internet with the GM Calibrations and I purchase a used CANDi module so I can use it on my C6.
My GM TECH 2 is now fully functional for F body, C5 and C6. It cost me a lot more than the initial $1000 that I thought was a good deal. Lesson learned..

If you get a used one, MAKE SURE it is properly updated, has the correct memory card and has all the required adaptors and cables otherwise,, it just a pretty paper weight!

But some users cannot/fail to enable cruise control settings with Tech2 scan tool. Take an example of a GM Tech2 owner, Here is how he did it:

3. Select Modules Replacement/Setup
4. Follow the system screen prompts, but he cannot see cruise control option

So he held a view that GM Tech 2 is not possible to activate cruise control/ has no cruise control options.

How to ECU checksum for MPPS cable ?

MPPS V18 ECU Checksum Tutorial:

MPPS V18 features:

Excellent recovery functions. In some cases MPPS can recover ECU’s which others tools can not even make communications with.
On certain controllers it even works when with no program is present (a blank memory).
Selectable full / partial reading and writing when the ECU allows this function.
Selectable reading / writing speed.
Writing “changes only” function for faster programming (when supported by the ECU).
Auto detection of K-Line/CAN, and option to bypass and force preferred means of communication.
Temporary bypass of immobiliser to allow flashing on the bench on ME7 systems.

VAG MEDC17 TPROT level checking without opening the ECU.

What is a checksum:

A checksum is a block of digital data that is used to verify the contents is of the memory is correct.  Upon modifying the data the correct checksum must be calculated to ensure proper operation of the Engine Control Unit (ECU).

What happens if I checksum a file that was already checksummed:

It will not cause a problem if a file is checksummed twice.  In most cases this will result in zero changes as the checksum is already made for the file.  Although in a very small number of instances the MPPS Checksum may be slightly different than a checksum calculated using a differnt method.  In This case it will also be ok to checksum the file a second time.

What you should know before MPPS checksum:

MPPS does not support Checksums in some cars models/ECUs , if it is not displayed under write option for your car model&ECU then the Checksum is not supported. If you cannot do it in WinOLSthat’s mean that checksum module is missing or not installed.
your best option is to compress your original file and modified file into RAR archive if you can and post this file on this forum . someone should check it for you.

remember when you will write your modified file into ECU make sure you have battery fully charged or better connect a battery charger if you can and observe voltage is above 12v in LHS corner in your MPPS software if you don’t have a charger,
do not open doors just wait couple of minutes till MPPS will finish write cycle, take time and do what software instruct you to do regarding ignition.
How to use MPPS cable for checksum:

Select the correct ECU TYPE

Press the checksum button

Select the modified file that you wish to checksum

How to Used GM Tech2 scanner disable Corvette C5 F55

So here I would like to share my experience disabling F55 and reflashing DBS using GM Tech2 scan tool

An industry change in protocol from OBD II to Controller Area Network (CAN) has begun. In order to perform diagnostics on a vehicle that uses the CAN interface; You will need the Tech 2 Flash and a CAN diagnostic interface module. The module connects between the Tech 2 Flashs diagnostic link cable and the OBD adapter. Once the module is connected, it can be used on all GM vehicle applications,even those vehicles using other platforms such as OBD I and OBD II.

Disclaimer: Please strictly follow the steps in case anything goes wrong. The F55 disabling and DBS reflashing are on your own risk.

First I had the tech do the DBS reflash for me in about 10 min. My tune was NOT affected and the car started and ran normally.

I then had him disable the F55 suspension. Again, my tune was NOT affected and the car started and ran normally.

It is also worth noting that HP Tuners can NOT make changes to the BCM.

If you are looking to disable your F55 using the TECH2 scanner:

1. Hook up Tech 2, turn car ON, make sure module in the rear is PLUGGED IN. Do Not unplug the rear module.
2. Go to diagnostics — Body — BCM — BCM Special functions — BCM Setup.
3. Delete the F45 option ( F55 did not appear on the menu screen on the Tech 2, use F45)

4. Save new configuration.
5. Do not turn car off, do not remove Tech 2, go to the module in the rear of the car, unplug the grey connector( the widest one) leave the center plug in and the smaller black plug in.
6. Turn off car leave Tech 2 plugged in.
7. Remove remaining plugs from module in the rear of car.
8. Turn car on to verify the “Max speed 80 mph” is gone.
9. Unplug Tech2 and put tools away.

Then you have to follow the bouncing ball of checking off RPO Codes. When you get to F55 set it to disabled.
